Responsibility
The sustainability of Teknologiakiinteistöt is demonstrated through zero emissions, energy efficiency, and certified buildings.
Sustainability guides all operations at Teknologiakiinteistöt. The environment, society, as well as owners and stakeholders are considered in everything we do, whether it concerns construction, human well-being, or planning for the future.
Sustainability in our operations
Most concretely, sustainability is visible in Teknologiakiinteistöt's choice to use only wind-generated electricity and district heating produced with renewable energy sources. All new construction projects by Teknologiakiinteistöt are implemented in accordance with the requirements of respected environmental certifications. Furthermore, existing buildings and their energy efficiency are continuously improved, and environmental certifications are sought for them whenever possible.
The realization of sustainability is closely monitored at Teknologiakiinteistöt using various metrics. The metrics show that Teknologiakiinteistöt has succeeded excellently in its sustainability work, but the work continues, as the company's goal—like the entire Turku city group—is to be carbon neutral by 2029.
