Carita Varjonen reveals: Joki is expanding to Jussinaukio

The goals for Joki Visitor Centre in 2024 include an Event Square, a branded app for Joki, and an even more versatile SHIFT. Joki’s year 2024 has started at a brisk pace...

Joki’s year 2024 has started at a brisk pace, and expectations are high. Interest in events organised in the Science Park is constantly growing, and Joki has become an important meeting place in the area.

Joki’s popular own events, such as Joki coffees and Joki Forums, will continue throughout 2024, starting in the spring season, and in May, we can enjoy the versatile SHIFT Business Festival.

– The goal for 2024 is to keep our promise and offer our clients even more events, promises Joki’s Community Manager and CEO of SHIFT Carita Varjonen.

Joki continues to evolve this year as well. There are all-new opportunities for hosting events ahead, as an Event Square is being built in connection with Joki, rising in the very heart of the Science Park, at Jussinaukio.

The Event Square will feature, among other things, a large green wall, a fixed stage, and a screen that can be utilised for event streams and also for advertising purposes.

– Thanks to the Event Square, it will be even easier to organise outdoor events at Joki. The best party in the Science Park showed last year that Jussinaukio is also excellent for large outdoor events, says Varjonen.

Another novelty this year is a branded app for Joki, which will be launched in March. The application is powered by Brella, the world’s leading online application for corporate events and conferences. Through the app, you can find contacts at any event and book a personal time for a meeting with a company representative.

– This app offers a whole new kind of networking opportunity for the members of Joki’s business community, enthuses Varjonen.

During 2024, Joki will also invest in the growing demand for traditional meeting rooms by increasing the number of such spaces.
