Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's event spring kicked off right at the start of the year with the traditional Sport at the Best Spot event, which has been held for ten years in cooperation with Turku-based sports clubs.
At the beginning of the event, Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's Community Manager Carita Varjonen shared the latest news from the Joki Visitor Centre. The renewed Showroom immediately sparked interest, and those interested were able to visit the space at the end of the event. There were 130 participants at the event.
The evening's match was a floorball derby between TPS and FBC Turku, which was attended by representatives from both teams. First, we heard thoughts on the evening's match from TPS Salibandy's Sports Director Perttu Kytöhonka and forward Janne Hoikkanen. A local derby always has a bit of extra intensity when playing against a very familiar team.
As Kytöhonka and Hoikkanen rushed off to prepare for the evening's game, the floor was given to FBC Turku's manager Antti Vääri and Executive Director Ville Lintunen. Among the players, Arttu Salonen was present to preview the match, for whom this season is his first in the club's representative team.
After hearing from the teams, guests enjoyed juicy burgers from Restaurant Mauno, which have already become a tradition at these events.
A colorful local derby was witnessed at the Kupittaa Sports Hall, as FBC Turku, which entered the game as the challenger, scored three goals in the second period and took the lead. TPS's counter-attack produced four goals in less than a minute, and the match ultimately ended 9–5 in favor of TPS.
Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt acted as the host for the evening's match and awarded the best players from both teams.
