In 2022, Turku Energia moved to InfraCity in Itäharju, developed by Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt. The bright spaces promote comfort and encourage people to come to the office, says Tiina Aho, HR Director at Turku Energia.
Moving to new premises became topical for Turku Energia following a zoning change at their old office site. Turku Energia had specific wishes for the new premises.
– We wanted versatile, modern and energy-efficient premises. Our goal was to increase collaboration, have workspaces that promote work wellbeing, and make it pleasant to come to the office. I think we succeeded excellently in this, says Turku Energia's HR Director Tiina Aho.
The building's workspaces are implemented as a multi-space environment with workstations for about 200 people. In addition to the workstations, InfraCity has plenty of various meeting rooms, rooms for quiet work and office cafés, as well as stairs that serve as an auditorium suitable for presentations and encounters. On the ground floor of the building, there is a restaurant with access to a terrace.

The theme of the premises in InfraCity is the different states of energy, which can be seen in the photos on acoustic surfaces, the moss wall in the lobby areas and the window lighting, among other things. The interior design favors ecological materials that withstand time and wear. The floor of the work areas is Bolon wall-to-wall carpet made from recycled materials, which also has noise-dampening properties. Color and life are brought to the stylish premises by photos on acoustic surfaces, loose furniture and a plant wall. You can tell that the spaces and their functionality have been designed with care.
– The workspaces well support both interactive activities and quiet work. For example, there are various workspaces for project work and brainstorming together, Aho rejoices.
